Relocating?
Make It An Organized
Move
|
|

|
|
Changing your address
can be done online with
the Postal Service, now
for the real work. If
you are moving yourself,
it is never too soon to
start packing. Having
everything in clearly
marked boxes the day of
the move will make the
job much easier. While
you are packing, purge.
It makes no sense to
move unwanted clutter
from one house to
another.
Buy
the news print paper
from the packaging store
for your breakable
dishes, do not use
newspapers. (If ink gets
on your plates and
glasses, it is there for
good.) Mark those boxes
with "fragile"
stickers.
Keep
your "essential box"
with you in your car.
That should include,
hand soap, paper towels,
toilet paper, coffee
pot, filters, coffee,
cups, paper plates and a
change of clothes. And
remember to keep the
vacuum and broom with
you for the final
cleaning of your old
home.
Have
a plan for organizing
your new home before
moving day. Then boxes
can go to the rooms
where contents are to be
placed. This will make
unpacking easier and you
will be able to enjoy
your new home that much
quicker.

It Together LA! will
handle your move from
start to finish, call

Saving
Time for the
Dogs
|
|

|
|
Being organized allows
more time for the things
in life we love. Like
our pets. But their time
is precious too. Keep
items conveniently
stored where they are
used. A leash by the
door allows for a quick
walk when
needed.
Susan
Isaacs, dog trainer and
owner of The Well-
Heeled Dog, suggests
keeping just a few toys
handy in an attractive
basket. Allow your pet
to only play with 2 or 3
at one time and rotate
the toys weekly. "Toys
strewn all over the
house become a liability
for family members
walking around and a
colossal bore to your
pet", says
Susan.

Clutter
Awareness
Week
|
|
|
|
March
20-28 is Clutter
Awareness Week and Chris
McKenry wants you to
celebrate. Visit the
Organized Living store
at the Farmer's Market
in Los Angeles on
Saturday, March 20. LA's
organizing pro will be
available from 1-5 pm to
answer questions and
give valuable tips to
help clear your
clutter.
You
are de-fragmenting your
computer weekly, if not
daily, and the same
should be done to your
environment. The "stuff"
in life often gets in
the way of productivity.
The last week of March
is the perfect time to
make a change for the
better.
Clutter
Tip-Wait to make
purchases until after
you purge. Once the
clutter is gone it is
easier to determine what
systems, or containers,
are needed.
Take
pictures of your problem
areas and bring your
questions to Chris on
March 20. Less really is
more for those striving
for success.
