Who
Needs A Professional Organizer?
Being
organized is not a luxury, but a necessity in
today's fast paced world. Just keeping up with the
responsibilities of work or running a household,
leaves little time to improve the order and
efficiency in your environment. The fact is
clutter cost money.
When
sick, we turn to medical professionals. If sued, a
good lawyer is the first person to call. So it is
natural to call a professional when getting
organized is your goal.
In
April, 820 professionals attended the National
Association of Professional Organizers Annual
Conference in San Diego. Through conferences,
workshops, and local chapters NAPO members have
access to training which allows them to meet the
complex needs of clients. Organizers create unique
systems for each client and offer education on
organizing principles.
When
contacting a professional organizer, don't be
embarrassed by your situation, but be honest in
describing the circumstances. At Get It Together
LA! we assure a "non-judgmental" approach in a
completely confidential manner.
Who
needs a professional organizer? People who want to
achieve their goals. In a survey 80% polled said
they were organized; but of those 80%, 85% wanted
to be more organized. People who want more time for
family and friends should know that help is at
hand.

Grilling
Made Easy
|
|

|
|
So
Dad's in charge of grilling. If you wish
the grill was fired up more often, make it
easier for your chef. Keep the things
often used within reach.
Do
you dig to the bottom of a closet to find
utensils when you want to have a cook-out?
Place hooks on the back of a door or
inside the pantry on a spare wall. It is
just a simple "grab" for the tools of the
bar-be-cue as Dad lights up the
grill.

Golf
Bags In The Way?
|
|

|
|
Get
those golf bags out of the trunk, but keep
them within reach. Vertical storage is so
often overlooked. Store your clubs next to
the car on the garage wall for that last
minute trip to the country
club.

|
Workout
At Home
|
|

|
|
You
have gym equipment, but are the Halloween
decorations and garden tools in the way?
As you organized the garage, create zones
for your different tasks.
Designate
an area for working out and storing sports
equipment. Steel shelves with bags are
perfect for keeping bats and balls in
place.

Has New President
|
|
|
|
Chris
McKenry is the new President of the
National Association of Professional
Organizers, Los Angeles Chapter. When
Chris started Get It Together LA! in 2000,
he immediately joined NAPO to further
develop his professional skills and build
alliances with fellow
organizers.
Today,
the Los Angeles chapter has over 110
members and is growing. Last year, Chris
was the Director of Communication and
Technology for the local chapter. For his
work, the organization honored him with
the Leading Edge Award on February 5,
2005.
The
NAPO began in Los Angeles in 1985 and
today has over 3,200 members. "I am very
excited to serve with our talented board.
Organizing is such a rewarding career, my
goal is to strengthen our chapter by
communicating the skills NAPO members
offer throughout Southern California",
stated Chris.
