Bags,
Containers, and Other Obstacles
|
|

|
|
Whether
you are unpacking from the grocery or the
warehouse store, remove items from the
package. This allows more room for
storage, items are visible and it is
easier to access the items for
use.
Piling
bags filled with items in your cabinets or
closets just make your purchases
disappear. Unload the car, unpack your
bags, then sort and put away.

The
Magazine Clutter
|
|

|
|
Are
magazines taking over your home? There are
always good articles to be found, but you
can not be a library for every story.
Especially with the Internet available.
Eliminate the frustration of magazines
piling up and never being read.
Then
when issues arrive, quickly scan it to be
sure they are worth keeping. Fold back
pages of interest, or even better tear out
articles of interest. Be realistic with
yourself and your paper clutter will start
to disappear.
|
|
Profit
from Your Excess
|
|

|
|
Throughout
your home there is good "clutter" just
waiting to be used by someone else. Plan a
tag sale and include friends to make it a
fun day. The more people involved and the
more items for sale will create a busier,
more inviting, environment.
Get
necessary permits, if needed. Place ads in
local papers. Those Saturday morning
shoppers plan ahead. Be sure signs are
posted at intersections and in your yard.
If items are dirty, clean them. You are
not having a "junk sale". Organize items
on tables, or shelves. If you have
clothes, have a portable garment rack to
display items.
Have
everything priced and ready to go EARLY.
The serious shoppers will be in your yard
by 7 am. Have a bank with small bills and
change. Do not be greedy, even if the item
has never been used.
